Product Photography 1

Brief: Our client produces a yearly catalogue of their large range of cut flower roses and wants to introduce many new varieties that require new photography. We arrange transport of over 30 varieties of fresh flowers from our client to the studio to enable photography on the same day to preserve the flowers best presentation and colour.

Our next process is to view the digital photography on screen. We have taken at least three different exposures of each variety and choose the best result. This image is then colour corrected on screen within the limitations of the colour accuracy of the computer screen. The next phase is to print a digital proof, compare the colour back to the real roses and make further colour corrections to all varieties.

As a final check we print the whole range of roses up together and once again, compare them back to the real roses and make any colour corrections to further improve the accuracy of the printed roses. Our client is then shown this printed sheet for approval. By going through this process our clients’ expectations of the color of their roses has already been defined prior to going to print with their catalogue.

Product Photography 2

Brief: Our client has a proto-type of the product in one colour only but requires us to print a brochure showing the full range of colours the product will be available in. We then request samples of the coloured plastic the taps will be made from and photo manipulate duplicates of the photography to match each colour of the plastic. The brochure can then be printed well before the coloured taps are even manufactured.

Model Photography

Brief: Our client produces a range of toys and costumes for young girls. He requires photography of a young girl modeling the costume which is to be used on both their website and packaging. We arrange for both the model and the studio and direct a range of photos in a variety of set ups.
